Visual Stimulation Illustrations

Hi, My name is Martina Hoffman and i am the artist behind Visual Stimulation Illustrations. When i sit down to draw, I never have any particular image or feeling in my mind i want to express...that makes drawing feel too much like work. I draw for the pure, freeing pleasure of doing so. I simply add any combination of lines, shapes, colors, shading, and anything else to the paper that makes me happy to see it there....or as i like to put it ‘Visually Stimulated’. In the beginning stages of my creation there are no mistakes. . . and when that is the case your mind can take you to so many fantastic new places.

All my work is 100% original & one of a kind and the prices reflect as such. . . . there are no prints of any of peices available yet so keep that in mind if your interested in purchasing any of my work. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to email me at mcfly4280@gmail.com.

How to view my work

My peices fall in one of two categories. . 1-original abstract & 2-inspired. For example ..My piece shown below called ‘Reptilia’ is the original abstract piece created as i’ve described at the beginning of my webpage The pieces i created that were inspired by ‘Reptilia’ are ‘Snake in the grass’ and ‘Wrong place, Wrong time’. I’m sure you’ll be able to see the similiarities all three pieces share. The inspired pieces however, are just how i personally view the original abstract. Everyone in the world interprets what they see in a different way. And that’s the beauty of my work, particularly the original abstracts… you can pick what visually stimulates you personally and it doesn’t have to make sense to anyone else. If one of my works of art make more sense to you turned upside down from how i have it displayed then hang it on your wall that way. After all, art is about stimulating your brain…so do whatever it takes.
